Did you know Congress was attempting to approve the state certified votes as a key step of election process and that the protest was disrupting this business?

This was a clear attempt to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power. It was not a very violent insurrection, but it was an attempt to prevent the lawful electoral process, and overturn the results.

Trump has spent more attacking Desantis than he spent in all of 2020 and on attacking Biden. Of course, he spent more on his legal defense (with donor money) than all of that combined.
