If true, which party do you believe it will hurt the most?

A friend of mine believes it's a death knell for Democrats. I am not sure about that. He could definitely steal centrist Democrats but I think only about 50 are still alive today. I think some of his views will appeal to Republicans who don't want to deal with the chaos of Trump.

If the choice is Biden, Trump and him, he will definitely get serious consideration from me.

What say you?

For me, it hinges on Trump's pick for VP. He needs to think about a succession plan for 2028. Should he pick DeSantis, Haley, or Tim Scott, I will vote for trump. If he makes a polarizing crazy ass MAGA pick like Kari Lake or Marjorie Taylor Greene, all bets are off. I would give RFK, Jr. or Joe Manchin a serious look.

Thank you Frank. Me fixed.

Casting a vote for JFK, Jr. would be just like casting a vote for Joe Biden. I think JFK, Jr. would be every bit as effective.

No way in the world will the Dem leadership allow Kennedy to run as an indeoendent .

They will treat him the same as ol Bernie.

And magically Kennedy will later buy a couple of very nice houses.

Not a big fan of RFK, Jr. But he isn't likely to be bought.

That depends on who the GOP nominee is.

20% of Americans refused the Covid shot and form a new voting group this time. If it is Donald "Democrats Tell Me I Saved Tens of Millions of Lives" Trump vs Joe "Take The Shot Or You're Fired Biden." RFK could really get some traction as an independent.

I would vote for him in that scenario. In fact Desantis is probably the only GOP candidate now that would make me reconsider.

Agreed. Think this could hurt Trump as well.

Trump has ZERO chance in a general. Unfortunately, it looks like he will win the R nomination. (truly unbelievable ). Who gives 2 ****s whom he picks for VP? He will turn on them like he does everyone else!

All true.

Trump is completely unstable.

And Republicans don't posess the stones to get rid of him.

Relax, my friend. We are more than 15 months away from Inauguration Day. A lot can change by then. Hell, Inauguration Day could get cancelled and we may all be speaking Chinese by January 20, 2025.

It will take legit votes away from Trump. Dems just make more ballots to help themselves. You know, voting booths get shut down, there wil be plumbing leaks or some major distraction.

He will do as well as Ross Perot did, except from the Left. He is a Kennedy, he is not going to sway the Reagan-Republicans or Democrats. As a Kennedy, he is pretty left on the spectrum. He is a liberal no matter how much he is anti-vax.

Most of the Republicans that have chosen to hold their nose and vote for Trump, to keep Biden or any Dem out of the White House, won't pivot and wast a vote and Kennedy and risk doing exactly what they don't want to happen.

Republicans that won't vote for Trump, no matter what, might not sit at home and instead vote for Kennedy, but Trump never had those votes anyway.

Democrats that hate Trump and don't want Biden will most likely show up for Kennedy.

Trump supporters are locked and loaded for the Donald, they're not going to cast a vote for anyone but the orange man.

Kennedy hurts Biden more than Trump, in my opinion. If the democrats want to save their party and their power, they'd dump Biden today and throw their support behind Kennedy.

If it was a Kennedy/Trump matchup, I think RFK Jr. has a better than 50% chance at coming out on top.

Trump has a higher floor than Biden. 3rd party helps Trump in almost any scenario.
