I'm cautiously optimistic about what we've seen coming out of the last election.

Both LA and SF have seen highly progressive liberals shown the door in races that involved DA and mayor.

Californias were pretty clear about that bill that made "smash and grab" part of California's distorted fabric in recent years. They are done with it.

DT received almost 40% of the vote, way up from the previous elections.

On the other side though, unfortunately, the voters also kept an inept governor in place during the recall a few years ago.

Orange County and San Diego County are now blue. Who would have ever thought the former would do such a thing. At least so soon.

And California still comes off as a place where liberal ideologies can be sown freely, so we will continue to see scads of leftist nut burger transplants from out there east of the Colorado River (who can afford it) pour into CA.

And sadly, the limousine liberals will continue to come. And settle along the very "blue" coastline.

The rest of the state remains pretty "red," but unfortunately strength is in population numbers and the population is along the privileged "blue" coastline.

It's a shame. Arguably the most diversely beautiful state in geography, with the best climate going, and it's been run into the ground. I guess it was bound to happen. I just wish the transplant onslaught had leaned more red than blue. Maybe we could still get ourselves a Republican governor.
