What makes you think there is going to be an election in 2028? Or for that matter a country to have it in?

A Harris win insures 4 more years of an open southern border with millions more future Dimcrat voters coming in and if the ultimate nightmare happens and the dims additionally achieve majorities in the House and Senate, the "future" for that new voting block will be now. Also, the Supreme Court will get packed and both D.C and Puerto Rico will become "states" virtually insuring permanent Senate majorities for the dims. If all of that disaster happens, future elections at least at the federal level will be forgone conclusions pretty much like elections in the old Soviet Union.
There is just no getting around how critical and pivotal this election is - not just for the presidency, but also for the houses of Congress.

IMO, you have summed up the overall concept of why we are where we are. To that concept, I wonder how much misinformation adds to the distraction and political alienation. When you say uneducated, I may be a bit confused. The founding fathers were counting on an educated populace to maintain our system of representative democracy. I think we have reached that point; however, perhaps due to distractions, we seem to have become the least politically informed, as it regards learning facts about the issues.
