So theoretically he could just remove the barrel and destroy it and firearms forensic evidence would vanish. Smart. No casings, no rifling pattern on recovered slugs. Not sure if a suppressor leaves or creates forensic evidence.

Not sure of the professionalism of the shooter, but US Marshals this morning on Fox said they thought it was a hired gun. A person can be hired and not a pro. Or there were things my he was supposed to do to send a message, such as inscribed casings. Leaving a phone, which we have no idea what is on it. Could be data to why he was targeted. Etc... Will be interesting to see if he goes Unibomber or is caught.
