This is gonna be one historic race. Jimmy Carter is near unanimous as the worst administration in US History. Hard to compare the old ones but certainly in most of our lifetimes.

Will Biden take his crown?

Ironically only Harris's election loss and Biden's pardon of his son, has cemented Joe's legacy as the worst president in US history.

In reality he should be considered the worst due to his open border actions, horrific foreign policy blunders, inflationary policies and numerous embarrassing public demonstrations of advanced dementia.

I think it will be a combination of all of the above.

However now the Dems are going to unleash their smear machine on Biden's legacy.

Not because of the absolute hell he unleashed on the country ….but because of his newly perceived 'blame' for Harris's loss to Trump.

And Hunter pardon just adds to their embarrassment.

And it will be Harris vs Vance in 2028, Vance wins due to the Biden stain. In 2032, it's Harris vs Vance one more time... they will blame somebody else. Better to place blame than to change direction

Definitely the worst modern president. I don't think it is close. Carter was a good man. Biden is a liar, incompetent, and very corrupt.

People often like to declare events, teams, and figures in their own lifetimes as the best or worst. Time will need to tell with historical perspective (and perhaps further information revealed). While Carter and Biden are likely the least popular in most current adults' lifetimes, hard to say they should overtake the likes of Franklin Pierce or Warren G. Harding.

Harris is finished on the national stage.

A two time loser, she will most likely become a lobbyist.

The verdict is still out regarding Vance. Other than one solid debate performance he hasn't had the opportunity to be much other than a shield carrier.

And as stated before, Vance's autobiography did not remotely convince me he is presidential material.

At least not yet.

Agree, Carter was just incompetent. Bad policies.

Biden was invalid before taking office, but the corruption took his badness to a whole new level.

Yep

Just so everyone is clear....if Biden had won a 2nd term he would be going down in History (by the Media-Gov.-Academic complex) as one of the best Presidents we have had since JFK

A man who defeated and held off the menace of American First and the "fascist" "nativist" Trump

Really makes you think about how history and historic memory is created in the USA

It took a lot to beat out Carter as the worst POTUS at least since the 19th Century, but Biden managed to do it. Carter was weak, naive, and simply not Presidential material in any way, but as others have noted, he at least had the redeeming quality of being a good man who was well intentioned. Biden is and always has been a corrupt criminal hell bent on taking advantage his position to enrich himself and his family, in addition to being at least as weak and unpresidential as Carter was. I hope the country officially bottomed out in 2020 with electing awful presidents with no redeeming qualities - but who knows - there are still a lot of dumb voters out there.

Everyone says Carter was a good guy, but that wasn't my experience meeting him three times while volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. He was curt, arguably racist (if you call, calling Hispanics "damn mess-I-cans" racist), and overall nasty to most of the folks on the build. Each time.

I was expecting this slow-talking Georgian, with a pleasant demeanor. Not what I got.

I oughta kick your arse!

Being from the neighborhood, the family had some good folks and some crazies like all families do. While I admit Jimmy was brusk at times, I understood it. After church, everyone wanted Rosalynn and him to stand and take a pic with them. That's every time after church. Part of it, too, was his military background. Plenty of family members were as laid back as you could want. A few could be a bit feisty.

He was the smiling handshaking Jimmy when he needed votes. You know, like most politicians.

Clinton and Trump seem to be the most authentic people from a personable level. It seems odd to think Trump is like that, but I do think he relates to the common man much better than most politicians. Clinton's background makes him a natural.

I could work with "brusk". Jimmy was a 9 out of 10 on the "brusk" meter. A 10 would have been if he used the hammer he was carrying most of the time...

Biden is an indictment of the party that put him up for office, and the voters who put him in office knowing full well he wasn't well.

Harris would be a great lobbyist for some part of the booze industry. Beer, wine or spirits. Doesn't matter. And her employer could pay her with their products.

He ran the national debt up an extra $8 trillion in just four years - something it took eight years for big spender Obama to do as a starter. That's more than what our country piled up in its first 200 years. He has 4 years to try to redeem himself, unless he stays longer.

American ' History ' is influenced / interpreted by :

A. Who won; be it a war, political campaign or trial.
B. Histories a publisher can successfully sell for a profit.
C. The personal bias of the author and / or reviewers.
D. Hollywood's wildly inaccurate historical interpretations.
E. The prejudices of the American people throughout time.

Always interesting to read American histories published prior to WW1. Especially in regards to Texas history and that of the West.

Remember that half of that was due to the CARES Act and COVID relief. Not exactly something he could have avoided. That was dumped in his lap by the Chinese Wuhan Virus

If you factor out covid, he was still on par with Obama's annual spending rate increase. Now he wants to raise the debt ceiling. He's no conservative.

I dont ever remember him saying that he was a conservative. He has help this time with the Senate and the House majority Republican. However, unlike Democrats who are told to 'toe the line or else', Republicans vote their minds and what makes sense for the country moreso. They will ensure that whatever he comes up with, works

That is true.

However Biden should have never been nominated for the 2020 election as his dementia was obvious even back then.

Was completely irresponsible.

Then one has to believe Biden magically acquired 81 million votes.

Far more than Obama, Hillary or Harris.

Simple, really - they finally allowed Flying Monkeys to vote in 2020.

Then it rained during the 2024 Election, and out of respect for the Wicked Witch (Jill) the monkeys stayed home.
That which does not kill me, will try again and get nastier
