They knowingly pushed false propaganda to manipulate a United States presidential election

They should have far more serious consequences than losing security clearance

They should be tried in a New York state court for breaking federal election law on 46 counts plus one state law against false record keeping.

The laptop thing was genuinely ridiculous. I wouldn't have believed it at first either. Did any of these people examine the contents themselves? I doubt many did. People get it wrong sometimes. And sometimes there are consequences to getting it wrong.

Really alot more than 51 (from the last 4 years) should lose their clearance. We've just went through the most corrupt administration in history. Cocaine in the white house. Supporting other countries instead of America. Funding illegals and not our countries emergencies.

They didnt get it wrong. The fbi had the laptop and knew what its contents were. They just straight up lied intentionally to help Biden get elected.

These officials didn't examine the content of the laptop then they publicly stated that it was Russian disinformation to all mainstream media outlets.

During that time the FBI had possession of the laptop and knew it was authentic. They said nothing.

The consequences should be prison time. That's fair and just, anything less is giving the green light for others to repeat this behavior for effectively no consequences.

I think former officials ard routinely called in under certain conditions to provide expert advice for a given situation or need. By having a number of such people with active security clearances available, they can be brought up to speed quickly and provide sound advice in a crisis. At least that's my guess for the rationale and it makes a lot of sense. But I can also see how it could easily be abused as these 51 examples did. Their actions were arguably felonious and borderline treason.

Let's put aside the fact that these 51 former spooks might have been playing politics and assume they just got it wrong

What does that say about our intelligence agents in general.

How often do they get things wrong and face zero consequences?

How often do they get things wrong and continue to move up the career and promotion ladder in DC?

And what does that say about how much confidence Americans should have in them?

They knew. They intentionally misled the public (lied).

Lib voters don't care the justice department was weaponized, they only care if it's Trump in charge.

THese people are professional liars. They knew what is was but wanted to play on the Russia narrative (that they created) and twist the facts to paint this hoax to throw the election for Biden.

If all that ultimately happens is these traitors lose their security clearance, while that beats nothing, it's about like giving someone probation and community service as a sentence for pre-meditated murder. If there doesn't start being consequences serious enough that people won't want to pay them, then when the pendulum swings back the left will just keep engaging in this kind of serious manipulation and election interference behavior in the future.

Yep, they are the real insurrectionists who weaponized the federal government to defraud the public. There has to be consequences.

Serious consequences. There also needs to be serious consequences for all the politicians and their crimes.
