It's a presidential appointment.

She's fired.

She's going to leave.

She may need to be arrested to make her leave.

Hahahah.

This is funny stuff.

I had a brother in law that had to be escorted off the premise when he was
fired as he refused to leave. His ex-company brought in licensed security to do the
trick.

And just like this lady he too is a narcissist.

Was she elected, or was she appointed.

If she was appointed, the president I would imagine has the power to appoint someone else.

If elected, well not much he can do.

She is obviously highly partisan and very liberal

Appointed....all the FCC board is appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate

[The FCC is directed by five commissioners appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate for five-year terms, except when filling an unexpired term. The President designates one commissioner to serve as chairman. As the chief executive officer of the Commission, the chairman delegates management and administrative responsibility to the Managing Director. Certain other functions are delegated to staff units and bureaus and to committees of commissioners. ]

EDIT:

Nein51 pointed out I had the wrong alphabet agency

Federal Election Commission.

https://www.fec.gov/about/leadership-and-structure/

[Commissioners
Commissioners are appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate.

Commissioners serve in staggered six-year terms; two seats are subject to appointment every two years. The Chair of the Commission changes every year, with no member serving more than once per term.

The Commission meets in closed sessions to discuss matters that, by law, must remain confidential, and in public to formulate policy and vote on legal and administrative matters.]

edit: Looks like she was elected, assumed the position Jan. 1st and
it runs until Dec 31st 2025.

Looks like she is a long term swamp creature, so I doubt she is going anywhere.

So, does she have a couple of years on her term left.

I wouldn't want anybody in a position when they are proclaiming they
cause good trouble. That is lefty code, for blocking legitimate causes.

But, if he can't dump her yet, it will get interesting.

Pretty much what I was alluding to. I don't think he has the power to simply fire her.

Yea, after looking further, her Commisioner position started Jan, 1st 2025 and runs to Dec 31st, 2025.

It says she was elected, so I don't think Trump can just fire her. Then again I'm not sure.

From Britannica:

"The FEC is led by six commissioners, who are appointed by the president and confirmed by the Senate. By law, no more than three commissioners can be members of the same political party. Commissioners serve staggered six-year terms, with two seats open for appointment every two years. Official actions taken by the FEC must be approved by a vote of at least four commissioners, thus ensuring that none of its decisions are completely partisan. The commissioners ensure that mandatory campaign-finance reports by individual candidates, political parties, and political action committees (PACs) are accurate and complete; they also investigate accusations of unlawful actions related to soliciting or spending campaign funds. If there is a partisan-based disagreement regarding a potential violation of campaign finance law (reflected in a 33 vote by commissioners), no decision is made and no penalty is assessed. "

From the FEC site:
The 6 commissioner seats currently have two vacant.
That leaves four occupied by:

James E. "Trey" Trainor III
Vice Chairman
Republican

Allen Dickerson
Republican

Shana M. Broussard
Democrat

Dara Lindenbaum
Democrat

These two show as off the commission in the last month:
Ellen L. Weintraub
Democrat
December 2002 to February 2025

Sean J. Cooksey
Republican
December 2020 to January 2025

You have to look at this FEC page to see them.

She was not elected. The Commissioner positions are Presidential appointments for six years and ends on April 30th of the expiring year, with two being appointed every two years. The chair is NOT elected, but the position rotates among the commissioners every year.

Weintraub was appointed by George W. Bush in 2002 and her term expired April 30, 2007 and she has been reappointed numerous times and never replaced when each term expired. She can be replaced at any time by the President and her replacement's term would expire on April 30, 2025. There is a requirement that no more than 3 members of the Commission can be of the same party, and Weintraub satisfies one of the Democrat slots. There is a vacant Republican slot that can be filled, so if that is done, it could leave the Commission with a 3-2 reversal of its current makeup.

So it has to be 3 dems and 3 R's every time.

She needs to go anyway, been there too long.

Obviously he wants her gone, because she shot his rhetoric down in
both 2016 and 2019. So she doesn't like him and he doesn't like her.

Very understandable he wants her gone, but I'm not sure it's his call.

So trump could fire her and then search the country for a moderate dem (if one exists) and replace her with them?

According to the Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA), specifically 52 U.S.C. 30106(a)(3), FEC commissioners can be removed by the President, but only for "inefficiency, neglect of duty, or malfeasance in office."
