They are controlled by their activist class

So they can't pivot on cultural issues to get back to the center. (no retreat on DEI and LGBTQ+ nonsense)

They are also controlled by the urban college educated cohort....especially those into climate change activism (so no ability to become the party of growth or building things) they remain the party of "not in my back yard" anti-growth

They are the party of government workers so they can't run on reforming the bureaucracy

The Neo-Cons and Liberal interventionists also have dug deep into the party so they have to still be the more pro-interventionist party in DC (more wars and more police actions across the globe).....so they can't be the party of de-escalation and peace.

Modern Democrats have also made themselves into the pro-mass immigration party (donor organizations and activists) so they can't walk back to a more immigration constrained-moderate position.

They have really backed themselves into a corner

More reasons to vote for Trump, Vance, or anyone else running against them.

And don't forget the open hate and bigotry Democrats have for Israel and the Jewish people. Dems continue to double down on the CRAZY!

On the other hand, the Republican Party has become the "big tent party" for everyone that loves the country, believes in American exceptionalism, believes in common sense solutions, and wants the best for the country and ALL (repeat ALL) of its citizens. It is now much more than just the party for conservatives and the so called "far right". Trump and the MAGA movement has truly revolutionized the GOP.

It will take time for long time democrats to realize all that their party has become the last three decades.
The democrat party leadership abandoned their real base a long time ago. However, they have convinced so many of the "evil" and "outdated" nature of republicans, it will be difficult for those convinced to change what they've believed forever.
