Let me explain how science works. The scientific method was invented by Francis Bacon and involves (simplified):
1. Making a hypothesis
2. Testing the hypothesis with experiments
3. Collecting and analyzing data
4. Drawing conclusions based on said data
5. Testing conclusions
6. Repeat
Science does not equal an opinion. Science is based on data and facts. Just like "racism, fascism, sexism, homophobia, hate, etc." does not mean "anything I disagree with," actual science does not mean "anything I agree with." You are relying on T'SCIENCE just like you love T'RACISM! What the heck are these terms?
Science does not equal an opinion about transgender people, like your opinion on transgenderism is not based on facts and data, but prejudice. You're relying on T'transgenderism.
Here's the science
- Brain structure:
Neuroimaging studies have found that the brains of transgender individuals are structurally more similar to the brains of the gender they identify with, not the sex they were assigned at birth.
- Prenatal factors:
Some theories propose that transgender identities may be influenced by factors like prenatal hormone levels, as the brain develops separately from the genitals.
- Genetic basis:
Research from twin and family studies suggests a moderate genetic component to gender identity.
- Hormonal pathways:
Early research identified differences in brain pathways, such as estrogen receptor pathways, in transgender individuals.
- Physiological responses:
Studies on brain activation, like the hypothalamus response to pheromones, show that transgender individuals often react in a way that aligns with their gender identity.
Expert consensus
- Complex origins:
Most experts believe that biological factors, such as genetic influences and prenatal hormone levels, along with early and later life experiences, all contribute to the formation of transgender identities.
- Gender identity versus physical sex:
Scientific and medical organizations emphasize that gender identity is a function of the brain, not physical anatomy like genitals or chromosomes.
Ongoing research
- Continued study:
While current research strongly supports a biological basis for transgender identity, more research is needed to fully understand all the factors involved.
- Brain differences are not the whole story:
Some studies have found inconsistencies and limitations in current findings regarding brain differences.
Just to be clear, you believe this post - which you copied from Google AI - proves what exactly? That a biological man can be a woman? That not pretending a biological man can become a woman is cruel?
Ues
Not following you. Please clarify and please answer my questions.
So I copied it from Google. It is still the truth about science and transgender. Pretending as a prejudicial word and certainly not a part of a rational discussion one does not start with one's prejudice is about transgender that starts with the science behind it. Mental health and sexual understanding to who we are are grounded in psychology and not simply biology.
Incorrect. Gender dysphoria is a documented mental illness in the DSM. There is no science that has changed that just politicized special interest groups. To think it is not a mental health issue to believe you're sex is incorrect is to deny common sense. No amount of you posting it is not will change what everyone can see with their eyes.
It is only a mental illness when the "fact" of their transgendered is creates distress as one comes to term with it. In and of itself transgenderism is not a mental illness. You've turned it upside down to match your ideology. If one has the fact of cancer which results in a deep abiding despair then the cancer is not in and of itself a mental illness rather the incongruence of health and the threat of death results in clinical depression. The cancer is not mental illness.
Gender dysphoria: A diagnosis in the DSM-5-TR defined as clinically significant distress or impairment due to gender incongruence, which may include a desire to change primary and/or secondary sex characteristics. Not all transgender or gender diverse people experience gender dysphoria.
