The other point is that these platforms are free to curb the speech of anyone they want however they want because they're private enterprises, which makes it ironic to say removing them would be curbing free speech. The better case you could make would be for freedom of the press and would this be violating that.

Having said all that, I do believe social media has unleashed a number of negatives on society and is massively appealing to the basest of human nature, but I don't believe in banning it because I always lean toward more freedom than less despite potential ill effects from it.
