It is a Christian nation that should be wildly accepting of everyone. The reason the founders made sure there could never be state religion, is they were very aware what religious persecution looked like. They wanted very much for the nation to welcome people of all religions, and walks of life.
To be telling others to move if they dont like "Christian America" is probably a bad idea, and not in the spirit of the country.
On topic, it is sad how much hate has consumed Stewart.
9 of 13 colonies had a religion requirement

Are you aware that the Constitution does not?
Are you aware that you used the word "founders" so I spoke to a condition involving the colonies at the time of our founding?
Hey! Would you look at that, "founders" and "founding" are similar sounding words. I wonder if they have a similar root.
If only I were as smart as you I'd probably be able to use LOGIC and figure it out.
At least you did not blow his mind and tell him the Constitution was written and approved years after our founding.
The founders wrote the Constitution, just FYI, and they were not simply the governments of the colonies.
So yeah, when we talk about the colonies having laws, it has to be a separate discussion from what the founders intended and put in place for the country they you know, founded.
You're a small, petty person. Sad.
