Now that MadMani is a lock, what happens next for NY?

Certainly more crime.
How about a mass exodus of the sane and rich?
Or will MadMani be just another liberal, without delivering his socialist Utopia?
Will Trump move many of the federal buildings to another state. Will the banking/finance industry relocate?

So where do you think NY is headed?

New York City continues on its descent into anarchy and bankruptcy.

Many of those with the necessary assets will leave.

Politically, the city becomes the springboard for a socialistic take over of the Democratic Party.

A new party with a message of 'free'. The same failed message of every communist country throughout history.

But many of our newest 'immigrants' know nothing of such failures. The famines, the mass executions, the collapse of medical care.

So they will vote for this New Democratic Party.

Class warfare is now inevitable and begins by 2028.

Interesting day. November 4. 2025.

NYC elects a wealthy, privileged, um socialist, allegedly living off of mommy and daddy's money. Never had a real job. Failed rapper? Anti-police. Freebies for everyone. And only arrived in the States a few years ago.

Only in NYC, or maybe CA, would the voters be this stupid.

And speaking of....65% vote to make CA more Democrat. You know, the party of high taxes, high gas prices, out of control crime, high utility costs, out of control homelessness, high unemployment, among many other things. Not to mention its black and latino citizens who are racked with poverty and/or very difficult living circumstance. Almost four times as bad off as the white citizens in CA. Which just proves that Democrats really don't care about blacks or latinos.

The low-income, struggling ignoramuses in NYC and CA just made their lives a hell of a lot more difficult. While their leaders retreat to 9 million dollar mansions in CA (Hair Gel), or tootle around NYC in limos (the failed rapper), the riff riff will battle it out on free transportation, and in the streets, surrounded by crime and homelessness that will proliferate.

Unfortunately the smart voters have to live alongside these ignoramuses and deal with the environments they have created.

And then there's VA and NJ who just voted in Dems as governor. And one of those states voted in that loser of a human being who made those horrific tweets about a fellow politician a few years back. But still won this election. I guess we need to start looking into the intelligence factor of voters in those states now too.

The one thing that we can at least observe from this...none of those states--NY, CA, NJ or VA-- voted for DT. So it shouldn't be a surprise to see them double down on stupid in their local elections.

New York, New Jersey, and California were going to do what they do.

The Virginia results are more concerning.

Exactly.
The loser in Sacramento is taking victory laps because he knows it's his only accomplishment. And it's not much of an accomplishment. As if everyone didn't already know that a predominance of Dem voters in CA would vote yes on this. It was a shoo-in for passage.
As for the rest, those states didn't vote for DT anyway, so no surprises there either.
That story out of VA is certainly troubling. But I guess it syncs with how many Dems process now. They don't cope well. And have been saying and doing some pretty vile things. Sad that their constituents don't seem to care.
It's all in God's hands though. Places that are not real godly will inevitably have to be accountable at some point.

It's an interesting situation in NYC, but remember who his opposition was. The incumbent roiled with scandal, the main challenger an old face also roiled in scandal, and this young, articulate, face shows up. They had to pick from bad and worse.

Government is large and cumbersome. He will not be able to do what he wants for a long time, and the voters will notice if crime continues up. I think he's out in 4 years if a remotely decent challenger shows up.

The main thing I take from this, is politically, voters are desperate for change. It's not a Republican or Democrat thing. Everyone knows the government is not working for them, it's working for itself, and they want change.

Do not ignore the obvious.

LBJ's Great Society legislation has now raised over 3 generations who have grown up on government handouts.

They feel completely entitled to those handouts. It's their 'normal' way to live. No stigma, no disgrace, no embarrassment.

Since Ted Kennedy's immigration' 'reform ' act ……the US has admitted tens of MILLIONS of LEGAL immigrants. The vast majority of whom have far more children than white Americans. The majority of whom are voting Democratic.

Thanks to Joe Biden, we now have tens of MILLIONS of ILLEGALS throughout the country. This was an intentional, cynically planned invasion of the US with the sole intent to eradicate the traditional culture of the US. The vast majority of these illegals routinely receive government handouts; feel entitled to them; and will vote Democrat.

COMBINED……we now have a significant SUB CULTURE of immigrants and others who feel entitled to government handouts. Real capitalism is the last thing they want.

They are undereducated, have no comprehension on how communism always fails; and will fight to install their version of political 'paradise'. Fight to turn the US into another England, Canada or France.

And this nightmare was done to ourselves; cynically, for short term political gains.

America as we know it; is in great danger.

Sadly - well put. My greatest fear has for a long time been and continues to be that an unholy coalition of deliberately dumbed down native born Americans, uninformed immigrants, and illegal alien voters will ultimately turn our country into the equivalent of modern day Venezuela. And to cap it off there won't be another traditional "America" out there to escape to.

After years of travel and casual investigation.....possess the unfortunate conclusion you are correct.

In the US the best place possible would be Wyoming. After countless trips throughout the state ; we prefer prefer Sheridan.

Internationally its New Zealand....but that is going to take at least $ 800,000 of investments . However the real issue is how bloody far the country is from anywhere.

Manhattan remains and will remain an incredible place to live. But not for me. The rat race is crazy there. You go work out, walk on the street, you are in a competition to look good and be at the top of your game. It breeds an incredible standard. A place I enjoy visiting and working in, but dont really want to live in.

Youre old enough that you are sick of where you are, and won't find out about the problems these other countries face when you move there. Pick someplace with free healthcare for anyone with a visa, and a gun ban, you'll enjoy free healthcare in your old age at the expense of their taxpayers, total safety, and never have to deal with societal issues.

Totally makes sense for someone like you. New Zealand is a great choice.

Very concerning. Democrats can now do things that would normally be disqualifying and win big.

Of all places, a candidate with communist tendencies and terrorist sympathies "voted" as mayor in NYC.

A candidate professing desires and fantasies about extra-judicial killing "voted" as an attorney general for a state.
I put vote in "" as the NYC election was anything but secure. But here we are.

Nothing will happen. It is a short term blip. Like Dinkins and Lindsey, they will do some small programs. Rent may take a hit. But at the end of the day, the system is designed to resist change from short term blips. This is a great example of why it is so important to pay attention to the "How things are done" and not changing processes because you like one person. The next guy could be this guy...

Uh yeah - electing an inexperienced 34 year old Islamo-communist who has never had a real job and believes price controls, free public transportation, and government run stores all paid for by "the rich" is "the answer" to be mayor of the country's largest city - will have no impact whatsoever. It will have a negative impact compared to electing a really good public servant, but that's not what he will be compared to. He will be compared to his predecessors, which all had huge issues.

Experienced and smart enough to see obvious trends and what the results will be based on the historical past.

A. Lucky to own many properties; and where we spend most of our time....we love.
B. Unlike you...do not need or hope for 'free' anything. Least of all 'free' health care that inevitably sucks.
C.A 'gun ban' does not concern me. As Mexico has the strictest gun laws in the Western Hempishere yet a horrible murder rate. What does concern me is demographics. It is obvious which races are the most violent...most troublesome. Don't have such concerns at present.
D. 90% of New York City is a **** hole. I pity the millions of individuals who are financially unable to leave.
E. However NYC makes total sense for someone like you. Until it is your turn to get knifed on the subway or randomly shot.

Northern Virginia is filled with people from those very areas....blue tribe members (and foreign nationals moving in) coming to Virginia and turning it into a neo-California or new New York

Each year they have a whole new Waco metro area moving into the State.

[In 2023, approximately 276,161 people moved into Virginia from other states]

They average about 50,000 new immigrants coming into Virginia from outside the USA

[ international immigration to Virginia has been increasing, reaching 56,155 in 2024 ]

We don't even know if those numbers are accurate....walking around N. Virginia it feels like an undercount

Given those demographic waves its actually surprising Republicans (who have a base that is generational Virginians...aka ethnic southerners) is able to even stay competitive at all.

I have been to NYC more times than I can count. I have relatives who lived there for good stretches of their lives and I can indeed say there is a huge difference in NYC when you have proactive mayors who respect law enforcement and those who don't. And this dude has no respect for law enforcement.
The cavalier attitudes of those living in their gilded, sheltered conservative states who say nothing will happen don't know a thing about it.
The leftist media will undoubtedly do their best to cover it up though while telling conservatives they're just being overdramatic. Liberals don't want the problems they create to be exposed. And having a liberal media in their corner really helps.
I can't tell you how many liberal friends I have who actually say San Francisco is just fine. It's unbelievable the total disconnect from reality. Look at unbiased travel reports from people who have visited and they will tell you what it's really like and how it has changed since their last visit. They see exactly what I saw last time I was there.
Liberals can never admit their policies are bad, so they just have to live in a land of pretend and, yes, "nothing to see here."

You really think he can come in and establish price controls for New York City in one term??? He will have some nice speeches and the anti-price control groups will bog it down. Over / under on when do the pogroms begin ... will they be government-sanctioned or just passively allowed?

Hamas Harry, junior, and switchy porter will be celebrating things like this ...

Public outrage erupted after a young Israeli jobseeker received a rejection message that civil rights activists condemned as "repugnant," sparking a protest outside an Australian plant nursery and prompting the business to publicly apologize for its co-owner's alleged antisemitic remarks.

A 24-year-old Jewish woman, who wished to remain anonymous, received the rejection text after applying for a job at The Garden of Eden Nursery in Albert Park in Melbourne, the Herald Sun reported on Saturday.

Brett Dahan allegedly told the woman that the position had been filled by "someone with a semblance of humanity" and that she should leave the country just weeks after she had moved to Australia.

"Unfortunately, the position has been filled by someone with a semblance of humanity and who cares for plants, animals, and the environment. Good luck on your journey and I hope you leave Melbourne soon! Free Palestine and end genocide NOW. You're complicit in IT," the text read.

This is the key thing. The great society has failed miserably but it is so intertwined with society now it is next to impossible to roll it back, let alone get rid of it.

Way to many just expect these payouts as well as "their" tax returns and know all the ways to get more money (more kids, get them labeled as having a disability/learning disability, etc.) and there are plenty of social workers willing to help tell them about it as well.
