I have been wondering whether the MAGA movement will continue for a while or if it is losing momentum.
Some recent events give one pause to think whether this is happening.
1. Marjorie Taylor Green has decided to resign
2. Some Republican Senators have spoken against the boat bombings off of Venezuela coast.
3. Several Economist have voiced objection to the possibility of USA Rebate checks from the tariff revenue.
4. Several countries have voiced disagreement to the Ukraine/Russia peace plan.
5. People have grown tired of the Epstein file issue.

What do you think?

I think there are a number of self-aggrandizing opportunists in the party who see Trump as a lame duck, and want to grab the wheel of MAGA. See MTG, for starters. She's one of the most disingenuous people in Congress, and I think she's love nothing more than to grab the reins. Thomas Massie is another.

Once Trump is gone, I think so will be MAGA. That's not to say remnants won't remain, but Trump IS MAGA. He is a force of nature. The Repubs don't have a replacement for him.

Yeah, that's a real bull**** move by people like Kelly. They can't even identify anything illegal Trump has done, but are calling on the military to ignore him? That's some dangerous stuff.

Yep. This is what it's come to. Accurately stating the law is sedition.

Is that what Kelly was doing? Merely stating the "law" to members of the military?

Or was he suggesting that something Trump had ordered was actually "illegal"?

The latter is how I took it.

I am not sure it rises to sedition. What I take issue with is your attempt to downplay his statement as a mere stating of the law.

Yes, but the implication is that the administration is violating the law, and it is encourage sedition.

You know it. You're just being dense because of TDS.

Biden and Obama regularly violated the law - more than Trump - internationally and at home - yet Republicans were not running commercials encouraging the military to ignore those two oatmeal brains.

All lame duck presidents have difficulty controlling their own party members toward the end of their term.

Trump will be no different.

Agreed; without Trump MAGA fades away.

Which makes it even more critical the Republicans look to a new source of votes; a new base.

Takes a broad sense of humor to pretend the Dems paid for commercials and air time merely to publicly 'educate' our servicemen.

Especially since such a propaganda peace was never deemed necessary before in the history of the United States.

Honestly it kind of rings to me like Biden's bullseye comment regarding the Republican Party's presidential nominee.

Who by the sheerest of coincidence ( of course ) almost had his head blown off on national television shortly thereafter.

If no one gets shot from this little piece of educational gameplay……I would hope it's never repeated and eventually forgotten.

But if anyone is hurt…..the producers of this stupidity should face the severest consequences.

That's one way of looking at it I suppose - the way someone who hates Trump looks at it.

But I would submit both you and fubar know better, and are purposely ignoring the context because of how much you both hate Trump and/or conservatism in general.

This was Kelly speaking at an engagement with a number of other partisan democrats senators and congressmen, who throughout their speeches were highly critical of Trump and his decision to strike cartels. It was at this engagement that Kelly made the comments in question. In that context, even someone deranged by all things Trump knows exactly what Kelly was suggesting.

By the way, I took your advice. Had my weekly morning phone call with my dad this morning - a retired 10 year military veteran who served in Vietnam as a Huey pilot in the 101st airborne. Saw two tours in Vietnam. He thinks Kelly's comments are disgraceful.

Just fyi.

Trump obviously being closer to Epstein than he would like to admit doesn't help. Even if he didn't participate he is still putting his own self interests over that of dozens of victims while concurrently showing he isn't interested in bringing all the abusers to light.

Building up our army in South America to stop cartels makes no sense.

Changing your position on Ukraine every week doesn't help.

Starting a trade war with the entire world instead of picking them off in small groups was moronic.

He did shut the border down but because he is blowing it on many other issues we probably are just going to have a dem in next time to reverse everything.
