You're so consumed with hate that you assume it's because I want to protect the shooter's ideology, but actually I've posted for decades on this forum and the old about the media's coverage of the shooter's ideology giving rise to copycats. They go on and on about some manifesto, and most normal people are like "sick" but a few think "wow none of this would have ever been read on TV otherwise."
For both Fox and CNN, their ratings had never been higher, than during the Columbine coverage. More Americans heard about those shooters than any other mass murderers, ever, and it absolutely inspired copycat performances.

Exactly. The poll isn't likely reality, just students lying in order to get a competitive edge. The message by the academic elites has been clear - if you're in a victim class, you get pushed to the front of the line.
