I agree it is unconstitutional but it is no different than people that have called for laws to ban other types of speech they don't like. Or social media banning speech that was from the right.

There have been people and politicians that have called for "misinformation" to be banned.

Those were wrong. Just as this is.

Or in the case of some of our European friends it is wrong that they have laws making speech illegal that might be against gays, Muslims, etc.

So hate crime laws were invented in the 60ties and I cannot find one example of designated hate crimes against white Americans, straight Americans, or Christians.

These laws are unconstitutional and create protected classes of people and people who committed crimes against them receive inordinate punishments.

If I get beat up for being white... the perpetrator might get 5-10 years in prison.

If a Jew gets beat up for being Jewish... it will be deemed a "hate crime" and the perpetrator will get 20-30 years in prison.

These laws should be repealed because they are never applied fairly or equally under the law.
