I used to be a sermon rich, scripture poor Christian.

I am now a non denominational disciple of Christ. I read scripture daily. Scripture is the breathed word of God, everything written is 100% truth. I pray multiple times a day. In those prayers I include any questions I may have about anything. Besides the spoken prayers, I write down prayers in journal as well as any question I asked. I started tracking the questions so I could see if God answered my questions. He does in his own time but He answers every question.

I have three worship services that I watch fairly often, at least one per week.

I am currently looking for a new local church community. I need a church that preaches the entire word of God, not just the happy feeling stuff. I am wanting to reap 100% of what was sown, not the 60 or the 30.

I'm currently reading the vision by Rick Joyner and the purpose driven life by Rick Warren.

God has sent the Holy Spirit into my heart. I am one in Christ Jesus. I am a son of God, through faith, an heir to Abraham and the promises.

feel. much appreciated the commentary. Extremely well thought out which is refreshing up in here. I grow up S. Baptist in suburban Dallas and it scared me for life. I was literally told by my Sunday School Teacher in HS that me and my 2 buddies where going to HELL bc we were going to a concert. I could't get the hell out of there soon enough. Did attend the baptist church in Waco when not attending bedside baptist. (good church). Joined a Baptist Church out of Business School in Dallas (PCPC...loved me some James Plietz). He left and we were right behind. Our kids were attending a private christian school in Dallas in elementary and many of the folks there , whom I had mad respect for seemed to be "spiritual" as opposed to religious. They attended the conservative Presbyterian church in Dallas. Been there ever since when in town. great spot.

Democrats are outnumbered in Texas, so the real question is why do Republicans want Talarico?
Talarico would need 100% of the dems and a big number of Republicans to either vote for him or just not vote at all. His problem is that his comments about God being non-binary, trans people need abortion rights, pro-vegan / anti-meat,.... he has NO chance of getting all the dems to vote for him, and no chance of any Republican votes.

He will fail even worse than Beto.... poor Beto can't even claim to be the biggest loser anymore.
