A Chicago area teacher is on administrative leave and facing calls to lose his job over a Facebook post last week offering support for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

"GO ICE," the teacher at West Chicago's Gary Elementary School, posted on Facebook last week. Shortly after the post was made, activists in the predominantly Hispanic community quickly began sharing the post and calling for action to be taken against the teacher, who Fox News Digital is not naming due to safety concerns.

1. Not a big fan of teachers doing politics
2. Not a big fan of firing teachers for political opinions
3. Supporting lawful law enforcement seems non-controversial
4. Do we want lynch mobs to determine thought crimes?

Sounds like Soft Totalitarianism strikes again. Notice the teacher is essentially supporting a federal government agency on his/her personal social media. I am sure there are some teachers who have made disparaging facebook posts about ICE. If they aren't also put on administrative leave, this is a bad look.

1. Agreed.
2. Agreed.
3. Correct. If a lefty said "Go EPA" they wouldn't get put on administrative leave.
4. No, it results in a chilling of free speech where only certain speech is allowed and encourages retaliation from the other side.
