It is absolutely ASTOUNDING how blind they are to this.
Ash Wednesday is behind us and the next 46 days of solemnity is underway.
No meat today and many days of fasting, penance to come and prayer as we're reminded of what Jesus did for our salvation.

Please cite an official Church document or teaching that Catholics are to make (pan)cakes for the Queen of Heaven.
