Conservative podcasting titan Tucker Carlson said he and his staff were detained in Israel on Wednesday following an interview with Donald Trump's ambassador to the country.

The former Fox News host flew into Tel Aviv for a sit-down with Mike Huckabee, who challenged Carlson to speak to him directly following an online spat about the country's treatment of Christians.
Carlson, who also frequently criticizes Israel for its military actions in Gaza, took Huckabee up on his offer.

I've traveled to every inhabited continent and been to many places that aren't exactly friendly to the US and I have never once had my passport confiscated or been hauled into an interrogation room by immigration officials... if it isn't personal, that would make it even more appalling and insulting as a tax paying American who funds their little apartheid state.

Likely all of it is mere spin, but the video certainly doesn't show him being treated any differently than anyone else, as he's smiling and taking photo ops.

You know, I actually watched about 30 minutes, and I am surprised how well Huckabee did against Mr. Smarmy. Threw him off his game, clearly. There wasn't a single gotcha.

Never really liked Huckabee, and don't really agree with his overall take, but he's one cool customer. Constantly turned Tucker's arguments around against him. Tucker was very flustered at times. Huck made me a fan.

I thought it was especially hilarious when Tucker suggested a DNA test to determine one's Jewishness.

Hucksterbee said Israel is owed to the jews because of their ethnic lineage.

The most accurate and effective way to prove one's ethnicity is through DNA testing.

Of course when asked if England is owed to the English or Ireland to the Irish, Hucksterbee backpeddles and says he hasn't given it much thought.

He waffles between it being a ethnic right to the land vs a divine right to the land.

We use the 19th and 20th century rolls to establish who is considered Native American and entitled to government benefits.

It seems only logical we establish some metric to determine which Israelis are related to the historic jews if that ethnic lineage is the basis for the land belonging to them.

It would be much more hilarious for me to assume your identity and claim all your property belongs to me... which is exactly what the Israelis did.

Now if the Bible was written by men as a form of population control and god isnt real, then the entire Christian Zionist raison d'tre for supporting Israel is completely broken regardless of one's ethnic heritage claims.
