One old frequent poster that I remember always being provocative on BFans was WACKOBEAR (sp?).
I think he migrated over to S365 for awhile but then left...or changed names.

GarlandBear84 is one of my closest friends today. We "met" discussing T&F on the boards. To this day, we text about every track meet known to man.

Love GarlandBear. I seem to recall there was a family tragedy in his life that he shared back in the day. I believe he might have lost his son, God bless him.
If anyone remembers caseman, he was a close friend that used to post quite a bit during the baylorfan days. Went to high school with me.

Yeah, I started out with Baylorfans.
I can still remember arguing with Rebel and Hambone about whether it was better to strike out or put a ball in play (I still think it's better to put the ball in play, double play be damned).
I have met more fantastic Baylor fans and people from these boards than one could fathom.
I feel really good when I think about all of the great people I have met through these venues.
I can sleep good at night when I can think about all the great memories.
Blackout vs Oklahoma.
Overnight tailgating vs OSU.
Alamo Bowl Tailgate,
Baseball regional vs Arkansas tailgates.
NCAA in New Orleans at the "Voilet something or another", lol. Still not a charge.
McVay (sp).
2021 National Championship with all my best buddies!
It's easy to sleep when I have all of those memories and more, especially when I think of all the friends I have met along the way.
I don't have a lot of things, but I do have those memories.
I'm quite grateful for that and everyone that has made that happen.
Thank You all!

I've always thought Rebel was unhinged. Didn't he have another username on baylorfans?

The untimely death of longtime poster LIQR has me reminiscing back to the early days of baylorfans. He joined the site shortly after I did, back in the late 90's. I joined in the Summer of 1999, if I recall, and was one of the first handful of posters. I remember a friend telling me about the site as we were sitting through another route of a Kevin Steele-coached Baylor team. I was using an AOL dial up modem at the time, and it took me forever to load.
LIQR was a Steele supporter, and was on the other side (I was never a Steele fan) - not atypical of our discussions over the years, though there was a time when we were pretty aligned politically. Baylorfans back then was a much needed source of venting on Baylor football during the dark years. Our topics migrated from football to religion and politics, though I don't think we had a separate forum for that back then. Seems we were all posting on one forum.
I am curious how far back other posters go, and what your screennames were?
Don't know how far back I go. I've drunk beer with LIQR multiple times. Good dude. Definitely made me recognize my age.
I used to go by "Ashy Negro" on the other site.

Is he on the pay side? That handle doesn't sound familiar.

Yes, but I'll let him say it if he feels so inclined.
I actually think quite a few had different monikers.
I'm not really sure why.

I remember that.
You sat a row or two behind me at Floyd Casey.
Do you remember when I smuggled the brisket in during the games?
I'm pretty sure you partook.
And then San Diego?
Bareback Grill...Good times.
LOL

I would agree with your first statement.
