Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth read a fake Bible quote from Quentin Tarantino's1994 movie Pulp Fiction during a prayer service at the Pentagon on Wednesday.

LOL. I don't think he did what you claim. He did not say it was from the Bible or was any exact verse. He did say it reflected a verse. As in loosely based off of it.

Basically the way movies are "based on a true story" or a book, poem, etc. might be about an event or written in response to an event and makes a reference to it.

It is an intentional adaptation of the Pulp Fiction monologue to fit CSAR operations (combat search and rescue). Not a fan of Hegseth's continued effort to push the divine warfare angle.

But it definitely isn't or wasn't expressed as a Bible verse.

Expressing it as a prayer and letting CSAR speak for God is just as bad.

The guys are doing a tough job (not Hegseth). I give them a little latitude.

My quarrel isn't with them. They shouldn't be encouraged or pressured to blaspheme, especially in that job.

IDK. Did you check your Trump Bible with abbreviated version of the Constitution? I'm sure it will be in the new revised version along with photos of Trump and Hegseth.

While he clearly wasn't quoting scripture, I prefer a thinker to a self-aggrandizing, overly-groomed showman for the Sec. of Defense position. Hegseth is the latter, unfortunately, and another one of Trump's big misses.

He needs to go the way of Noem and Bondi.
