I've somehow made it almost half a century on this earth, in all sorts of mixed company - urban/rural/suburban, white/blue collar, socioeconomics all across the board, every religion or lack thereof, various races and nationalities - and never had a single person ask my sexual orientation or my pronouns. It's almost like nobody cares...

Jimmy isn't that tall, not as honest as this character.

Thankfully most people don't care, nor should they. It's not an appropriate subject for casual conversation. For some people, this is not obvious.

Yea, I had a customer and had literally no idea he was gay, we talked about football when he came in the office and one day he added his partner to his auto policy and otherwise I would have had zero idea.

Otoh I had another customer for several years Joseph Schreibvogel, also known as Joe Exotica, and when he and his partner came in the entire office knew he had arrived, that said to me he was a really nice guy, one of my better customers and I was shocked about what happened legally. I knew he was high strung, which is not unusual, but man towards me he was good folks, I just was shocked what happened.
