That's the adjacent tragedy of this episode. I fully admit it sounds crazy ... but so much organized disinformation has been put into this case it almost as if it was a planned grift from the start. Yes, I know it seems crazy to think his parents would put him up to it, but given how bat**** they seem and how irrational is the outrage from the blek grifters, it would not be that shocking to think it was all planned to get Burn Loot Murder fired up for the elections.

A motion for new trial is the standard motion filed after losing any trial. It delays the necessity of filing an appeal and gives the trial court the opportunity to consider any "errors" in its own record prior to going up on appeal.

It seems someone, or somebodies, went through his phone and deleted pictures he had been taking while on the trip. Mom's suspicious of that behavior, and it is a suspicious action--if it actually happened.
The last known photo of him has him in swim trunks, but he was found fully clothed. Lots of possibilities here, so we should find out what happened if we can.
There is a pretty significant mark on his neck that science cannot say is pre or post mortem just yet.
There is smoke here, and it should be explored. Whether there is a fire remains to be seen.

All deaths of this type require full autopsies. Hopefully the post mortem reports can make a good determination.
It will be difficult for some loosely involved people to accept any report that does not fit their expectation. Let's hope they remain an ignored minority whoever they are.
