Mitch has not been seen since his rush to the hospital.

Ignoring politics, at what point do Kentuckians deserve an honest update, as they are no longer being represented?

If your answer needs my opinion? He will never serve another day in the Senate.

McConnell's term is up in January, and he's not running for re-election. As I understand it, Kentucky requires a special election to fill the term if McConnell can't finish it. The governor can't simply appoint someone. Not sure how such an election can logistically happen between now and then.

So Kentuckians have lost a senator. Not sure why they deserve any update on McConnell's health at all, as it serves no real purpose.

Mitch was/is a traitor to this country. Good riddance...

Despite all the noise about Biden's autopen, none of the things passed that way got reversed.

I can't help but believe whoever ran McConnell up to now, has an autopen set up for the rest of his term.

Another corrupt geriatric politician proves the need for congressional term limits and the wisdom of repealing the 17th amendment. Unfortunately, it's very unlikely.

Odd you suddenly developed concern for having sentient leaders ... pray tell why?

It is odd that liberal clowns are now concerned about people in public office enriching themselves... when the Clintons, Bidens, and Pelosis (a few to name) have been doing it for years

The power must be good. I want less work. These guys want to stay forever. 3 terms in the Senate seems enough. I'm 60. Don't want to be working at 80. (I really mean 61, but it is what it is.)

We need to repeal Woodrow Wilson's 17th amendment and get back to a place where Senators are accountable to the states.

I think most politicians are somewhat suspect. They might not all be corrupt but they often seem to be. McConnell's health is terrible and he has been declining for years. Personally, I think he should have retired long ago. That's reason enough to have doubts. But he's said and done plenty of suspicious things. I don't trust him. Maybe he isn't corrupt but he seems to be.

Generally, I think no one should be in the senate in their 80s and maybe in their 70s. I also think no one should be in power for decades.

"Corrupt" is a harsh accusation. I'd have guessed you had some evidence beyond what you've given.

I am old enough to remember when the Democrat Party and left wing press has zero concerns oatmeal brains was not lucid .... sort of hard to take your butthurt over MoConnell seriously. While I agree with you the selective outrage is selective and silly.

Maybe corrupt is too harsh but I don't think so. I don't trust McConnell because his record for several years has been less than stellar. His votes on multiple key issues has been with the Dems and against the interests of the country. As leader of the senate, a position of considerable power, he did much of the same.

In addition, McConnell's physical and mental abilities have declined considerably in the last few years to the point that he is incapable of doing his job now. We learned recently that he had a major medical episode, possibly a heart attack, and is in dire health. There are some reports that he is near death or even already dead. He and his staff have placed their selfish interests above that of the nation, a very egregious and dangerous prospect. The four nightmare of Pres Biden illustrates that point clearly.

McConnell should have retired long ago. He is another example of a geriatric politician who has remained in power far too long. In my mind, that's further evidence of corruption.

It's possible that he's dead. There's reporting tonight that he's been unconscious since he was found on the 14th.

He's at least on life support. Kentuckians need to know that.

Voting a different way than you want does not make somebody "corrupt."

If he's voting with the fascists too frequently and his motives are suspect then he might be corrupt. If he's staying in power long past what his health will allow because he craved the power then he might be corrupt. I probably should have qualified the statement but the appearance of corruption is very strong. It's growing stronger in recent weeks and months with his dramatic deterioration and erratic behavior. Add to that is the crazy actions of his wife after he was found unconscious. That is very suspicious.

I have family and friends that will occasionally go to the cemetery to speak to their dead parents or dead spouse.

Washington loves to parse words. Trying to define what the word "is" means in a deposition is a great example.

I'd love to be able to trust those in Washington but, they've proven they can't be trusted.
