One was killed by an "agent" shooting indescrimanately into the windshield of the car which is not protocol in any circumstances except for imminent death threat. The HAS to STOP. Oh, no, Piggy doubled down and cranked it back up. Anyone think this is ok? Biden didn't have anything to do with it.

In the iconic and simple words of Chris Rock, "Obey the law!" If one does this, your chances of not getting shot or run over go up exponentially.

Addressing illegals was a big issue for 2024. Democrats don't want it to be a factor this election.

Can you answer that? Is this another Repub talking point? I mean, specifically this. I know the general Repub strategy is to turn every single conversation away from Trump and towards evil Obama/Biden.

Do you ever ponder what the radical left was not calling to abolish ICE and interfering with its operations during Obama? Do you ever ponder if maybe it's not really about ICE and political histrionics?

A core difference between the left and right is principles versus partisanship ... Republicans were not making ICE a disinformation propaganda topic when Obama was in the office because it agrees with then principle.

Congress almost passed immigration reform but didn't because Trump wanted the politics. There is always an orderly solution that Trump dismisses.

It's more than trigger happy for me. The fact that ICE is routinely stopping minorities without cause and terrorizing them is unacceptable. And even more, it's ineffective.

Bull-hit. That bill would have codified the Biden practice of flooding the country with illegals. The other part was an Ukraine funding bill.

Aren't you a tribal zealot too? Fighting for the tribe?

It is not an insult, just a term for those who do not seek ration, logic, or common sense in politics. These people put these things aside to take up the banners, slogans, mindset, and battles of their tribes. They think that any lost battle is bad for the tribe, any victory good, which is why Republicans don't want to admit Trump lied about the 2020 election, or Democrats don't want to admit that "woman" is a word with a dictionary definition.

I try to not overuse it, but there are tribal fighters for both sides here, and even some true zealots. They cannot be conversed with, they will not admit reality, and any conversation must start with some form of common ground. Again, seeing things for what they are is not a tribal zealots goal. Winning is.

"Tongue in cheek" is supposed to be something that is at least a little bit humorous, and this is the exact opposite of that. Yes, follow the bipartisan laws we already have that address these issues.

For example, had Biden not refused to enforce our immigration laws, there would be a lot less illegals running around needing deportation.

Deport every single person that is here illegally. They have no business being here and we do not need them here. As a nation we import more immigrants (legally) than any other. Remember your battle cry during Trump's first term . . . Nobody is above the Law. Bring the law breakers to justice and get them out of here.

We do not need new laws when it is obvious the current ones work. Trump closed the boarder without any new deal on immigration.

ICE is unpopular because the left needs the illegals. It is their new form of slavery and only path to political victory.

SO much wrong in that post. OK, by point then:

"So, is the immigration problem solved? It's not."

So right from the start, you introduced the room to the retrospective determinism fallacy. The immigration problem is more than a half-century old, and some Congresses and Presidents have actually made things worse in scope and character. The actions by ICE and the DHS are overdue and for the most part restrained.

" It's just added chaos onto our streets. It still has to be addressed. Why? Because we do expect orderly."

That's the DNC spin and not winning over most anyone else. Frankly, the Democrats never seemed to grasp the growing public anger about illegals in gangs and the drug flow they brought - the 'Maryland Man' issue worked against the Democrats, and may still be hurting them as we approach the midterms.

" "Show your papers, minorities" doesn't work for most of us. It's why ICE is unpopular."

The Democrats never seem to tire of false Nazi analogies. It's old, stale, and only hard-boiled haters still buy it. The fact is that while most Americans are unhappy with the tragic deaths, they understand why these incidents are not happening with many Americans, including immigrant communities.

So Democrats are left with malicious stories and selective cop hate, and ultimately show no concern for legal immigrants and citizens hurt, even killed, by illegals.

There is nothing measured or restrained about the current approach. The administration openly admits that isn't their intention. That's how you end up with a situation where a 6 man tactical team is used to round up a non violent non felon Uber Driver that overstayed a visa. We killed an American citizen in the process. These are military tactics used for domestic enforcement and intentional intimidation.

Such a strange hill to die on.

I noticed you still ignore the problem of non-cooperation, often interference, from certain local and county officials (Democrats, of course), working to prevent LEO coordination.

Why do you hide that part?

Almost as dishonest as the lie that this is not about the illegals,
It doesn't happen if they're not pursuing Chuma.

Alot more people dying from illegals than ICE as well

Goodness, I hate liberals lol

You're a tribal zealot. And people will always be more upset over the government killing someone, than a civilian killing someone. As they should be. Imagine giving tax dollars for decades only for them to be used to kill you.

he's not even smart enough to be a tribal zealot. He is a child living in his parents basement with ZER0 real world experience. He's just plain dumb and brings NO value to this board. Fox New and fringe RWNJ websites will produce him.

Winning is.

no sir, not a Zealot in any stretch. I'd like my country back that Trump has stolen. That is it. My overarching reason for bagging and pointing out a travesty and perversion of democracy. I don't play for teams , don't do labels . I'm an Independent for the last 15 yrs. Republican prior. You are a bright guy. Just look at our country and where Trump has gotten us. Hardyly zealotry .

So a prior instance of gross governmental overreach, overreaction and abuse of rights justifies the current overreach, overreaction and abuse of rights? If you follow that logic, then effectively anything can be excused by a past instance.

Almost every defense of ICE I have seen here at least includes, if doesn't wholly rely on a "but Biden" and/or "but Obama" appeal of whataboutism.

If [insert local police department here] were sending 2-3 wholly unmarked suvs with 6-12 masked offers with only basic "Police" identification (sometimes) identifiable on their person and each carrying an AR pattern rifle in full tactical gear and with no dash or body cameras into the streets daily to stop people on the mere suspicion of nonviolent crime, you're telling me with a straight face you would not have any problem with it?
