I get not being a Paxton fan. I'm not either. But if the alternative is a Democrat taking that Senate seat, what specific issue with him is big enough to risk that? Also, selling their souls? What are you talking about? Trump is doing the exact thing he said he would. America First.RD2WINAGNBEAR86 said:Thee University said:

Posted on another thread that I would not vote for Paxton if his camp offered me $10,000 to vote for him. Not voting for Talarico either. I will never again knowingly vote for a clearly corrupt, despicable candidate. Life is too short to vote for the lesser of two evils. Screw both candidates!!! Amazing to me how many Trumpers have sold their souls.

Perhaps electing a nutty, progressive liberal with Socialist leanings is what is needed at this point for Texas Republicans to wake the **** up!!!
No more $ h!tty candidates. It has to stop.

That "logic" makes about as much sense as burning your house down so that home builders will wake the **** up and start building more fire resistant housing.

Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Yes, that's the definition of insanity alright, but it's not at all applicable here. What's really "insane" is deliberately aiding a flawed candidate that will ultimately support utterly destructive anti-America policies over a flawed candidate that can be counted on to support the America first policies because of some TDS driven emotions.

Flawed candidate? Paxton is the poster child for flawed candidates. Why should Paxton be propped up by over $100 million to run against 1, single, solitary communist? $100M?
I no longer consider myself an ultra conservative Republican. Both parties are rudderless, corrupted jokes!
If the Republicans insist on throwing incompetent idiots out there I can't help them and won't help them.
Where is common sense?

I'll try this one more time. Both Paxton and Talafreako are flawed - nobody is disputing that. Of the two flawed candidates, one (Paxton) has clearly demonstrated that he will support and vote for common sense America first policies, while the other one (Talafreako) will support and vote for highly destructive radical leftist policies aimed at destroying our country as we have known it. There is no escaping it's a binary choice and we aren't voting for a pastor, or who is the least flawed as a human being - we are voting on who is going to deliver the best results for the voters, the state, and the country between the two options. And furthermore, simply refusing to vote with so much at stake is an irresponsible cop out.
All that said, I can explain it, but I can't understand it for you.
