Sticking with the abortion topics, but branching out into other hypotheticals.

Recently, Iceland has been praised by the left for all but eliminating Down's syndrome by aborting virtually every baby who has it.

If a "gay gene" actually existed (total sci-fi I know), could be discovered and isolated in utero, would you abortion advocates be ok with that as justification for abortion or would you try to ban it?

I've been saying this for years. If they can prove homosexuality is a genetic trait inane womb, the gays will suddenly become pro life

Can't be a gay gene. Gay is a choice, not how God made people.

(That's what I've learned from reading here).

I agree. That's why I said it was hypothetical and Sci-fi. You read that part, right?

I agree. That's why I said it was hypocritical and Sci-fi. You read that part, right?

It's still an unknown, but I guess you can just point to the hundreds of species of animals observed engaging in homosexual activity. Or you could ask any of your gay friends. Both of those options have more merit than a book or anyone's opinion.

Animals do a great many things. I suspect you don't mean we were also born to throw poo, as bonobo monkeys may do.

I don't need to raise the topic with my gay friends. As with vegans and CrossFitters, they gladly share how everything in their lives related to being gay in most of our conversations. Vegans, coincidentally, most often espouse that they were not made to consume flesh.

You consider Downs Syndrome a serious disease that needs to be eradicated by murdering everyone who has it? That's an interesting response you gave there.

Bonobos are apes, not monkeys. They also have sex in the missionary position.

I unfortunately know this. All I wanted to know was if people from Congo had a handshake. I get a video of these apes going at it. Some things you can't unsee.

Thread beckons memory of airplane crashing in storm with band on it in the movie "Almost Famous" with all making final confessions and the drummer hollers out, "I'm gay ... I'm gay" ......... then the plane levels out and co-pilot opens cockpit door and says "we're going to make it" and there's silence among the band members after making confessions of sleeping with each other's and drummer being gay

Drummer had look of wishing he was aborted

Hilariously funny

Great scene

Ok ..... carry on ...

I don't have much sympathy. Waco1947 earned this thread. He refused to admit that his analogy was flawed in comparing government involvement in abortions to government required male sterilization. Dismissed most replies.

As a Methodist, I did appreciate 47 answering my question about still born baptism.

I mentioned two justifications for abortion comparing aborting for DS to aborting for homosexuality. You responded with "a serious disease that needs to be eradicated". To what were you referring?

are you purposely being thick, or are you just trolling? I made no reference to Downs Syndrome, you asked the question that if Homosexuality could be detected in Foetuses, would people be ok with using that as a pretext for abortion.

I said "If you consider "being Gay" to be a serious disease", I didnt say that Downs Syndrome to be a serious Disease, for clarification and to make it simple for you, I consider a Serious Disease in an unborn Child to be one that means it cannot survive.

Do i need to spell it out for you in smaller words so you can understand?
