An interesting interview with E. Michael Jones covering his book Libido Dominandi. He looks at the issue of whether sexual liberation was used as a form of control through history up to the present.

Cliff Notes?

The author believes that sexual liberation has been used as a tool to control people since at least the French Revolution. He talks about Wilhelm Reich and his book Mass Psychology of Fascism and shows how they were aware you could subtly influence people through sexual liberation. He felt that he could corrupt women's values simply by exposing them to seeing other people doing the thing.

He also talks of Freud and other psychologists and how this was used. He mentions other examples too like Kinsey. He also chronicles how pornography was pushed and how it was framed as a freedom debate.
He also talks of this issue in terms of the promotion of various kinds of sexual liberation thru contraception, adultery, sex before marriage, pornography, homosexuality, etc.

One example he uses of a government controlling people was with Israel where they apparently took over some television stations and started blasting pornography to the Palestinians. Since the Palestinians weren't able to go outside after dark or they would get shot, the aim appears to be to get them hooked on porn and have its other deleterious side effects weaken their resolve.

He is an ardent Catholic who sees this sexual liberation as something that has corrupted the West in various forms. His book essentially details throughout history how this took place. In this video interview, he hits the highlights and answers some questions from the interviewer.

Not by itself. But they might take advantage of that fact to try to get you to become a slave to the flesh and thus be more controllable. For example, Bill Clinton because of his love for fornication and adultery, was one who could be manipulated and controlled more easily by others. You could also make a similar claim for Trump with the Stormy Daniels affair.

I'm still not sure what FTW is getting at here. The thread title seems to suggest some sort of delusional paranoia that sexual liberation is an effort by the government to control us.

Maybe that's not what he is getting at, but that is what the thread title seems to suggest.

But, if by "political control" FTW is not talking about the government but is talking about sexual politics between an individual man and an individual woman, he might be onto something. That's a non-delusional, non-paranoid topic, certainly worth discussing.

Sexually "open" societies (like modern America) tend to have low fertility rates, wide spread divorce, and chronic drug abuse.

You may get some bites with this one. You see this same issue in the churches in the US. The mainline churches which pushed for more openness and empowerment of women including taking leadership positions in the church have seen their numbers on a percentage basis decline. Then, the churches that have adhered more to the bible and kept the traditional order have seen their numbers on a percentage basis increase. This doesn't seem surprising to me as one promotes the creation of a family and childbirth and the other looks upon that with contempt. You reap what you sow.

And don't even think about telling a bunch of sailors to "clap like you're in a strip club" in 2019!!!
