Dear Leftists: Here is What an Actual Impeachment Recommendation from a Special Investigator Might Look Like.

That's the difference between an Independent Prosecutor and a Special Prosecutor. SP is bound by DoJ policy to a different degree.

Do you have an opinion on impeachment?

As I said, not gonna happen.

I did not frame my question right.
1. Could the House begin impeachment proceedings on the basis of the Mueller Report as a matter of protecting democratic values?
2. Apart from the value question should the Dems punt in impeachment as a matter of politics?

If Dems push for impeachment...Trump's numbers skyrocket.

It'll be the inverse politically from 1998. House impeaches. Senate doesn't convict. Democrats lose House. Trump gets re-elected. Nancy remembers and understands that. The extreme Left in the House doesn't remember that and also has a dam-the-torpedoes attitude.

Waco: "1. Could the House begin impeachment proceedings on the basis of the Mueller Report as a matter of protecting democratic values?"

It's not a matter of protecting democratic values", although I am sure if the Democrats proceed with Impeachment hearings they would spin it that way. Impeachment is an intensely political action, especially when only one party is interested in doing so.

The Democrats control the House of Representatives, so they have the ability to impeach Trump, but the experienced politicians among them, notably Speaker Pelosi, understand that it would look very partisan and malicious to most people, even those who do not personally like President Trump.

Waco: "2. Apart from the value question should the Dems punt in impeachment as a matter of politics?"

The funny thing for Democrats, is that they have a window to build their case for winning the Senate and White House in 2020. But that window depends on advancing proposals which appeal to mainstream Americans. Instead, the Democrats are wasting that opportunity by focusing on their hatred of the President, and by promoting absurd programs which appeal only to their own base, and therefore would damage, not help, their chances in 2020.

Certainly pursuing impeachment would be political suicide, but it's not the only blunder that Democrats have made.

1. I don't understand your question. Constitutionally the House begins impeachment proceedings. It's procedural.

2. That's for Dems to decide. Not my circus.
“Life, liberty, and property do not exist because men have made laws. On the contrary, it was the fact that life, liberty, and property existed beforehand that caused men to make laws in the first place.” (The Law, p.6) Frederic Bastiat

You are very clear about the ball park you play in which I appreciate. I was asking for opinion.
I respect yours as to politics
