This is interesting for two reasons.



First, China clearly wants this convoy and assembly to be seen. This is psychological tactics.



Notice also in these photos. that the main weapons have been removed. China has learned from Tienamen Square, in that they plan to use force but limit effects to what they want to show.

China, more than anywhere else, has cameras all over the place, and they love both redundancy and applied IT to track movement. There are police shows in China which show using street cameras to backtrack from a crimes to see where the perps came from, even where they live/work.

It will take a while, but the MSS is going to find these protest leaders, and we'll never hear about it in the news ... but it will be ugly.

She is 2.5 hours from departure.

My wife heard from family in HK that the protesters left the airport and mostly went home.

Apparently, the police have found and arrested the protest leaders.

How are things now? I am hoping she made it to the US safe and sound? Does she have plans to return to Hong Kong or is she taking a wait and see approach?
