Politics aside, why wouldn't we pray that she has a right relationship with God and has her affairs in order rather than pray that she endure terrible treatment and return to a minimal quality of life? Maybe I have a strange view of death, but when you tell me that a person is having repeated flirtations with death and is enduring awful treatments to remain alive I just hope that person has a hope on the other side of death rather than a fear that causes them to do everything they can to avoid it. I hope that, should I ever be in that state, I will embrace death as the next step in the ultimate journey...even a joyful step.

I pray that she is prepared to meet God. We will all meet him eventually but when you get to her age and her health status, she's closer than most. And that's not some back-handed political thing, it's an honest prayer.
