Wearing a mask doesn't shut down a business and doesn't hurt you and really doesn't cost you anything of note, and for many people going into a business and seeing everyone wearing a mask gives them a better sense of safety. It doesn't matter whether it does or does not in reality make them safer, it makes them feel comfortable going in. If they don't see that, they just move on....and that does hurt the business.
