Those of you scared of a virus that kills less than 1% of those who get it, do what you feel is right. If you want to live in fear of this disease and think there is a magic bullet coming, then isolate and lockdown the next year and inject yourself with a vaccine - the lasting effects of which are unknown.
Let the rest of us do what we feel is best for us.
Heard this same argument last March when the death count was below 1,000.
Approaching 240,000 dead now and the number of new infections is increasing dramatically .
Not trying to be snarky ....but Is there any number of deaths that would alter your mindset ?
I have eternal security and don't fear death. I've come close to dying once and it changed me. Perhaps that gives me a different perspective on death in general.
We've seen that social distancing and lockdowns don't work. See Europe. The virus is going to virus. If I truly thought your solution was correct, I'd be on board. I just think Europe proves your solution doesn't work.
And I also think that we don't yet know the implications of lockdowns and social distancing. It's warped our kids, made us afraid of our neighbors, caused us to ignore signs of other diseases, decreased preventative screenings, significantly increased depression, suicide and abuse and led to economic ruin. Do you know we are on track to have the exact same number of deaths because of disease as every other year? It seems nature finds a way.
Like I said - if you guys want to live in fear of this thing, then isolate yourself. For me that is a cure worse than the disease.
