"I'm gonna shut down the virus" was classic politician speak for a candidate writing checks (promises) they can't cash. No person can do such a thing - much less a politician. I'm guessing he put too much stock in the upcoming vaccines thinking they would make him look good in that area.

A little beyond friendly. +7 is pretty hard left. The guys trying to get it right can consistently get it into the low-mid 2's, as have Rasmussen, Insider Advantage, Trafalgar, etc...... To miss it by more than 4 points requires some "effort."
