With no money or no authority, 50 Americans who served in Afghanistan in military, intel and other roles formed up to get Afghan special forces out. Led by @RooftopLeader, a retired Green Beret, #TaskForcePineapple got more than 630 to safety since 8/15.

With the Taliban growing more violent and adding checkpoints near Kabul's airport, an all-volunteer group of American veterans of the Afghan war launched a final daring mission on Wednesday night dubbed the "Pineapple Express" to shepherd hundreds of at-risk Afghan elite forces and their families to safety, members of the group told ABC News.

Moving after nightfall in near-pitch black darkness and extremely dangerous conditions, the group said it worked unofficially in tandem with the United States military and U.S. embassy to move people, sometimes one person at a time, or in pairs, but rarely more than a small bunch, inside the wire of the U.S. military-controlled side of Hamid Karzai International Airport.

The Pineapple Express' mission was underway Thursday when the attack occurred in Kabul. . . .As of Thursday morning, the group said it had brought as many as 500 Afghan special operators, assets and enablers and their families into the airport in Kabul overnight, handing them each over to the protective custody of the U.S. military. . . .

So Biden would not do it and these guys went and did it on their own? What a story!

"This Herculean effort couldn't have been done without the unofficial heroes inside the airfield who defied their orders to not help beyond the airport perimeter, by wading into sewage canals and pulling in these targeted people who were flashing pineapples on their phones," Mann said.

Tim Kennedy, former SEAL and MMA fighter organized the mission, truly amazing and will most likely be dispelled by our State Department.

These guys are amazing human beings.

I would hope Mark Judson would be considered an embarrassment to the democratic party and will not be elected.

After that tweet Judson will be Kamala's running mate in '24. Democrats fawn over anyone who hates Christians and America.

Colonel Mann, a retired Green Beret, ran the squad. Great, ballsy humanitarian effort.
I think the bulk of the folks they brought in might have gotten turned away because they weren't SIV holders or eligible. Yikes!

Gutsy operators!!!

During the Iranian hostage crisis, it was Perot who acted privately to get his people. I would hate to think I depended on a Democrat administration to protect me while overseas.

We throw around heroic, hero, brave, strong, etc. a lot in our culture, and it rarely matches the description.

This Man goes beyond those descriptions. Truly heroic.
