THE red X didn't really delete it just ignored the thread.

The red x would ignore a thread and it would store the thread inside the users control panel. If they ever wanted to unignore a thread they could go to their control panel and take it off of ignore and it would store it back on the users threads view. I have a design document and will share this with F5. Again I am making a list and will share it with the sicem365 team and then turn it over to the PM for F5.

There version of a user control panel would be under the users profile or create a page for the user to where any ignored threads would be stored there so they could go there and take it off ignore and put it back on their threads page. Really popular feature on Baylorfans.

Edit to improve the suggestion.

One suggestion might be a good addon to the red x functionality.

In order to make it easier for the user to look through a myriad of new threads, automatically hide any thread on your watchlist when that user is viewing the forums thread lists. He/She will then only see threads not created or posted in, and not user ignored.

Only this forum thread list view is hidden. They can see, enter, or post in these from the watchlist unless the user has activated the red x for that thread.

Can we please get the ignore thread function going?

There are so many threads that I want to ignore (the whole CAB, BOR, Title IX stuff on the football board is unbearable).

Or perhaps sweep those threads to their own forum?

I agree with the return of the red x. Also would like for any threads started by anyone on ignore to automatically be ignored. Sort of a pre-emptory red x.
