Lunchtime Recruiting Notes
- Magnolia 2021 offensive lineman Matthew Wykoff was at Texas A&M for their Super Bowl party this weekend and left College Station with an offer. Magnolia is very close to A&M and he has been waiting for this offer for a while especially because of the proximity. Look for him to try to narrow down his list during the summer and then he would like to make a decision before his senior year. We will see if that happens or if his list has grown even more by then. He has been talking to Coach Wickline and already has a good relationship with Coach Bell since he was his primary recruiter all last year. He is still trying to build a relationship with Wickline but likes what he has been hearing so far. He will be on campus for Junior Day if invited and for a practice during the spring.- Cedar Hill 2021 running back Kevin Young had a solid junior season as he carried the ball 91 times for 751 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also had a receiving touchdown and two punt return touchdowns on the year. Young got his Baylor offer back on January 30th of 2018 and has still kept in contact with Coach McGuire. He likes engineering and is really focused on the academic side of things when choosing a school to go along with a relationship with the staff. He measured in at 5'7, 172 pounds at the Next Level Athlete Camp. Back in March of 2019 he ran a 4.61 40 time, a 4.37 shuttle, and had a 34.5-inch vertical at the Opening.- Argyle offensive lineman Jack Tucker measured in at 6'8, 270 pounds at the Next Level Athlete camp a couple weeks ago. Coach Aranda has already been reaching out and making him feel like a top priority for the 2021 class. So look for him to be at Junior Day once Baylor has one marked on the calendar. Tucker is looking for the style of fit within the offense, coaching staff that can develop him into a better player, and a school that he would enjoy going to for 4-5 years. Texas Tech, Tulsa, Illinois, and Purdue are the other schools recruiting him hard. He would prefer to stay close or in the state but it isn't a big deal for him so he is open to moving out of state if he finds the right fit. Tucker camped at Baylor and got an offer shortly after back in the summer.

2021 Recruiting Names to Watch
I posted this in another thread but I have been getting quite a few questions about 2021 guys so thought I would go ahead and post this on the board. There are plenty of guys who have been on campus and been getting lots of attention from Baylor. I'll go through and mention some of the top ones. There are more but this is a good list of guys that Baylor has been in for a while and almost all have visited at some point. Again this is just a preliminary list as camps and film will bring new offers and priorities.QBKaidon Salter Eli Stowers RBDarius Hale Camar Wheaton Jordan Jenkins WRBlaine Green Bryson Green Ketron Jackson James BlackStrain Oronde Gadsden II TEWeston Wolff OLBennett Pitcher Reuben Fatheree Matthew Wykoff Jack Tucker DLJordon Thomas Shemar Turner Dametrious Crownover Chris Murray E'maurion Banks Albert Regis D'Marion Alexander Tunmise Adeleye LBKendrick Blackshire Rejhan Tatum Marsel McDuffie CBAJ Green Mark Wilson Keuan Parker SJardin Gilbert

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

SicEm365 Rating

99-100: Elite national prospect (Five-star)

Considered one of the best prospects in the nation and a likely difference-maker at the collegiate level. Displays all of the physical skills to be a future All-American with potential to be an early-round NFL draft pick.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Baylor and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Baylor and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
