Three quick hitters from the recruiting trail
- WR Elijah Bean will arrive in Waco in January as an early enrollee for the 2021 class. This is huge news as Baylor looks to add some size to the receiver room for the future after losing Yusuf Terry to the transfer portal. Bean -- who measures around 6-4 -- will join Javon Gipson as a second receiver who will enroll early and also has some length to him. It's hard to predict if either of those guys will have an impact next fall, but arriving in the spring is a huge boost to their chances. - Additionally, 2021 Baylor WR target Cameron Bonner will make his commitment to his school of choice this coming Monday according to his mother. Baylor is among the top group of schools he is considering. I put my prediction in for the St. Thomas receiver to Baylor a few days ago.- There is some disconnect between Baylor commitment Sam Carrell and our staff at SicEm365. As someone who typically responds to us pretty quick, Carrell has been MIA about signing day. Additionally, he has taken commitment off of his Twitter profile, added his NCAA player ID and has recently reported some additional offers from some smaller programs. I can't report this as confirmed, but I'm speculating that he's no longer part of the 2021 class.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Baylor and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Baylor and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
