Quick Hitting Recruiting Notes (TCU Win)
I will have recruit reactions with quotes in the morning but here are some of the key notes I have gathered from the weekend.....- DeSoto four-star wide receiver Daylon Singleton has been a priority for Khenon Hall since he got to Baylor and that has continued. Singleton has been interested in the program for a while now but things have certainly picked up over the last month. The win over TCU was the perfect moment to have him visit as well with the elite atmosphere and of course the massive win. There are still some obstacles here especially since SMU has played so well this season but I think Baylor is in a good spot to secure an official visit and flip him heading into the Early National Signing Day. His production the last two seasons at the 6A level has been elite. In eight games this year has totaled 42 receptions for 711 yards and eight touchdowns. As a junior he posted 1,211 yards and 17 touchdowns on 56 receptions. The top 300 prospect would have the ability to contribute right away and might be the best setup to do it of any of Baylor's freshman wide receivers IF he were to flip.- Dallas (TX) South Oak Cliff offensive lineman and Stanford commit Emeka Ugorji was a surprise visitor over the weekend but one the staff has been working on since the summer. I wrote about him as a top flip candidate back in July and it seems like things are starting to pick up for him in his interest with Baylor. He was able to hang with many of the commits especially his teammate Kamauryn Morgan and it certainly feels like Baylor turned his head significantly on this visit. Mason Miller and the staff have been trying to find some additions from the high school rank for the offensive linen group and Ugorji has been at the top of that list. I think Baylor is in a good spot here to secure an official visit in December and flip him. There is some major momentum here from the visit but we will see how much the staff pushes if at all before an official visit.- Anna defensive back and SMU commit Zay Gentry took a visit for the TCU as well and Baylor remains in a good position to flip him. Ridge Point cornerback and Nebraska commit Bryson Webber did not visit but he has remained a top target for the staff as well. Both of these prospects are takes for the staff with the hopes they can flip both by the time signing day rolls around. This is a major focus for the staff and Baylor has a good chance with both of them at this time. I am still trying to figure out how much Baylor is pushing here because it feels like Gentry should have already flipped by now but it is a process.- Midway linebacker Donovan Jones decommitted from Oklahoma State last week and then visited for the Baylor game this weekend. He has been on Baylor's list of targets for a while but it didn't feel like there was a spot for him so long as Kaleb Burns stayed committed. I am still not 100% sure if there is, but if there is, then he seems like a very likely candidate to join the class. This will be a situation to monitor.- Overall the commits, recruits, and parents raved about the environment. The fans and the crowd really impressed all of the prospects which is something each of them was hoping to see.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.
