Name to keep an eye on in the 2023 class
Houston (TX) Dekaney High School four-star wide receiver Jonah Wilson decommitted from Texas over the weekend. He let me know that he would like to take a visit to Waco this Fall for a game. The 6'4, 200-pound prospect showed strong interest in Baylor before deciding to commit to Texas.Through five games of his senior year he has posted 647 yards and six touchdowns on 37 receptions.Keep an eye on Wilson as the staff looks to add some top players to an already loaded 2023 class. Wide receiver would definitely be a position of interest if the right prospect is available such as Wilson. He would be a sensational get in this class as I have him ranked as a four-star with a 92 overall rating but has a chance to move up after seeing his mid-season film. His composite ranking puts him at No. 253 nationally as he is a four-star a top 50 player in the state.https://www.hudl.com/video/3/14867609/633aea18da51120ab4e35f32

Around the Big 12: Texas now leads the 2023 Cycle
Texas is now in sole possession of the No. 1 recruiting class in the Big 12 for the 2023 cycle. Texas Tech (8th) and Baylor (9th) join the Longhorns as three Big 12 programs with Top-10 recruiting classes.

Note on 4-star WR
Deakaney 2023 wide receiver Jonah Wilson let me know that he will be taking a visit to Baylor next week. This will likely be for an unofficial visit as he is trying to get to Waco before the dead period starts. If he takes an official visit my guess is that it would be after the season unless the staff decides to hold a mid-season OV weekend. At this time he is not 100% sure he will take one to Baylor though.I have mentioned that I don't see Baylor taking another WR in this class unless the prospect is a best availiable type. Wilson fits that best player availiable mold as a potential second WR in the class. He is taking an official visit to Texas this weekend.I will add more as I hear it.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Baylor and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Baylor and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
