Four-Star LB Cuts Baylor From Top Schools
San Antonio (TX) Judson High School's standout 2024 linebacker Myles Davis let me know that he has made the decision to forgo an official visit to Baylor and remove the Bears from consideration in his recruitment process. The change of his offer from safety to linebacker by Baylor in recent months created uncertainty for Davis, ultimately leading to his choice. Despite maintaining positive relationships with Christian Robinson and Matthew Powledge, the position switch proved to be a decisive factor in Davis' decision along with his lack of love of the campus."I wasn't really feeling the school and didn't get the feeling I used to get from the place," he said.He is the second major recruit who did not get a great feeling/the same feeling on his visit as Casey Poe said a very similar thing when he cut Baylor from his list of schools. Davis will be dropping his top schools soon which will be filled with blue bloods but this is not the biggest miss in the world.I know that may sound like sunshine pumping but he was a long shot for Baylor due to his offer list and the staff is in a pretty good spot at the linebacker position for this 2024 class. On the flip side, the vibe on campus is something to monitor going forward. That is not something you love to hear from one recruit and especially not two. So that will be squarely on my mind as official visits start to occur this month.

Update on 4-Star OL Casey Poe
I talked to Lindale (TX) four-star 2024 offensive lineman Casey Poe last night and he let me know that Baylor is officially out of the running to land him. Poe talked to Eric Mateos a couple days ago to let him know that they were out of the running for himBaylor made his top 8 less than a month ago but did not make it past the cut as he was setting up official visits. Here is his remaining group of schools with official visits...March 19 - GeorgiaJune 2 - ClemsonJune 9 - Texas TechJune 16 - AuburnJune 23 - AlabamaJuly 28 - OklahomaOne thing to keep in mind which I reported about a month ago is that the staff only has tow offensive line spots available in this class and already have Koltin Sieracki committed. So one more spot available. Ultimately this could grow maybe one more spot but right now there just aren't a ton of spots available on the offensive line. Yes this is a big miss as Poe is a terrific prospects but Baylor can still land one of it's top tackles and be very happy with the class.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Baylor and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Baylor and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
