Two 4-star DB's visiting today
Two of the top defensive backs in the state will be taking an unofficial visit to Baylor. Lancaster four-star prospect and top 100 composite recruit Corian Gipson and Fort Bend Marshall four-star prospect Josh Lair. Both are on their way to Waco right now. Gipson has 38 offers and is considered one of the best safety prospects in the nation. His close relationship with Matthew Powledge at Baylor and Oregon has been massive in his recruitment. He told me at Under Armour Camp this weekend that he could set an official visit up if this visit goes as well as he thinks it will. The staff views him as a safety or cornerback as he has the talent to play either in Baylor's defensive scheme.Lair was offered by Baylor at the beginning of February and has since added 11 Power Five offers as his recruitment has blown up over the course of one month. He will be a major rankings riser when things are updated as I view him as a four-star prospect. Baylor is in a good spot here and getting him on an early spring visit should give the staff a chance to secure an official visit.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Baylor and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Baylor and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
