Scattershooting Notes: OV Intel, 4-Star Locked In, 4-Star Visiting, OL Eyeing Trip
- I believe Baylor will be landing a commitment sometime today. Check Predictions. - Aside from that one, Baylor is in good shape for multiple others as I would consider them the clear leader for Trent Spence, Jayden Sanders, and Sheldon Rice. I also think if Kaleb Burns was picking today it would be Baylor but he has more trips planned so we will see how that plays out heading into his early July decision. - I think Bryson Webber, Kiotti Armstrong, and Phillip Wright are going to be battles and at this very moment I think they are in those recruitments but not the favorite currently in my eyes. It is recruiting so things can obviously change quickly.- There was a lot of rumors/misinformation swirling that Dekaney wide receiver Tanook Hines canceled his official visit to Baylor when he went to Texas this weekend. THAT IS NOT WHAT HAPPENED. As I mentioned early last week, he shuffled things around on his visit schedule. He moved Baylor to the 21st as I reported early last week, kept his Notre Dame visit for the 14th, and swapped an Arkansas visit with a Texas visit this past weekend. The plan is still for him to visit on the 21st but I felt like I needed to set the record straight as it seemed like people were freaking out about nothing. Hines has moved his Notre Dame and Baylor trips three separate times but has never left them off his visit list which is a good sign, we will see if it holds.- It is not set yet but Katy OL Patrick McMath is looking at visiting Baylor on the 21st after being offered this past weekend. Baylor has ground to make up on Houston and Texas Tech but getting him on an OV would give them a shot. I will have more on him later this week.- Chapel Hill (TX) athlete and Baylor commit Demetrius Brisbon was eyeing a visit to SMU for today but he told me this morning - "Cancelled I'm locked in."- Quick Roster Note - Baylor still has one roster spot open this summer. There is still something potentially in the works here that I alluded to weeks ago. This ship has not sailed yet.- I continue to have a good feeling and good vibes leading into this upcoming visit weekend which will feature quite a few more uncommitted prospects. The staff is in a very good spot to gain momentum this June leading into the beginning of July when many decisions are made. More commits would have been nice but I feel very confident in the staffs ability on these official visits to secure more and more commitments as they have proven that for multiple seasons.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Baylor and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Baylor and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
