Notes Before Day One of Spring Football
I will be out at practice tomorrow as the Bears open Spring Camp so be on the lookout for in-depth notes later in the afternoon and breaking news on the roster around 11am. I expect there to be at least a little news as the roster comes out but more after spring. There is a strong group of visitors coming to watch the Bears first practice of the spring. Some of the rumored visitors are major priorities for the Bears 2026, 2027, and 2028 class. I'll add to the list in this thread if I hear more.2026 four-star WR BU commit London Smith 2026 OL Devan Robison 2026 DL Alister Vallejo 2026 NT Keith Dotie 2026 EDGE Oklahoma State commit Jaylen Stewart 2027 four-star (almost five) EDGE Zane Rowe 2026 four-star LB Shadarius Toodle 2026 CB Ryan Gilbert 2026 S Daijon Gaines 2026 four-star ATH Paris Melvin Jr 2028 QB Shamar Toodle I am not expecting Florida International transfer linebacker Travion Barnes to be a full participant in spring camp. He is expected to be 100% for the Summer and Fall. Keep an eye on this tomorrow.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Baylor and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Baylor and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
