Where I'm at.... (6/13)
I have a prediction in for Alabaster (AL) Thompson cornerback Micah Fleming to commit to Baylor and still feel good about that one. He has been a major priority at cornerback. The 5-foot-10 prospect with a 4.38, 40-time is a playmaker at the position and holds a really strong offer list. Baylor is in a great spot here. The staff has been pushing really hard for Smithson Valley safety Noah Johnson and a big reason for it is his 6-foot-3 frame mixed with his 4.4 speed. This a guy who is also really being pushed for to be in this class. The Bears don't have a ton of room left in the class for safeties at this moment but he is absolutely a take. I am close to putting a prediction in for him and like where Baylor is at in this recruitment.Currently Baylor has Devin Watkins committed as a BS or STAR, Davontrae Kirkland committed as a NB and Noah Johnson would be an FS take. That doesn't leave a ton of room but Jaden Bibbs could be classified as a CB take and Hunter Haug as a best available. We will see but spots are getting tight. If Baylor brings a guy on an official visit then they want them if not then they have moved on till a later time. This is why guys are getting moved off the list as I mention a little further down towards the end of this article.Baylor wants to take a second quarterback in Irvine (CA) Crean Lutheran quarterback Caden Jones who visited this weekend and visited during the spring. The staff has remained in contact and officially locked in the trip this week. Current Baylor quarterback commit Luke Babin is still locked in with the Bears and knew about Jones' trip. Babin will visit next weekend and has been recruiting guys to join him in Waco. He also doesn't have any other official visits planned. This is just a situation where Baylor wants both in this class. Jones will decide between Arizona, Washington and Baylor when he makes his decision. There is still work to do on flipping Ruston (LA) wide receiver Josiah Morgan from Houston but Baylor is certainly pushing for it. Dallas Baker and the rest of the staff needed a chance with him on campus and they got it. This would be a really solid addition with his speed and big play ability plus a level of raw still in his game which speaks to how much room he has to grow. This is one to watch as the weekend comes to a close.Baylor continues to be in a good spot for South San four-star EDGE Brayden Booth who visited last weekend but it's not a done deal yet. He visited Indiana during the week and is at North Carolina this weekend. The Tar Heels, especially, are a big threat here and a big hurdle Baylor needs to get past to land the elite top 150 prospect. I will update as I hear more.I will be removing a lot of guys off the official visit list for next weekend as Baylor is focused on a very select group due to the size of the class. This will also give the staff time to evaluate senior season tape and have an official visit weekend after the season before signing day. I have mentioned the high Schoo; selectivity, high school recruiting size, and smaller NIL spending on high school recruiting a lot, that remains the goal. I don't expect offensive lineman Jordan Carraway, cornerback Stanley Peters, safety Chance Davis, safety Isiah Udom or safety Luke Stevens to visit next weekend.Side Note: I felt really old at camp today watching Dez Bryant's son Dez Bryant Jr. take home a Baylor offer.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Baylor and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Baylor and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
