4/1/17 Junior Day visitors list
Time to get the list up and running! I'm not adding guys (even ones who have told me in the past they'll be in Waco) until we get actual confirmation, which is why it's a small list to begin - it'll fill up as the week goes on.2018 prospectsRB Jalen Knox (Mansfield Timberview)***OL Ylijaah Hall (Bryan) - committed to BaylorCB Starrland Baldwin (Cy Falls)WR Miles Battle (Cy Creek)***LB/HB Jacob Doddridge (Southlake)2019 prospectsTE Austin Stogner (Prestonwood Christian)***WR Trejan Bridges (Hebron)******- Holds Baylor Offer

3/24/17: Recruits talk about visits, weekend visitors added
Today is a good day to share some of the great quotes that Brian got this past Sunday in Houston at the Under Armour camp. S Delarrin Turner-Yell (Hempstead) was at Baylor's Junior Day on February 18th. "I really liked the atmosphere and the people there. The football coaches there seemed cool."DB Christian Morgan (Porter) has 14 offers (including Northwestern, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, and Houston), but he would like to hear from the likes of Baylor, Texas, and Texas A&M. His hope is that Spring ball will bring attention from some in-state programs.Of Baylor, Morgan said "Waco is home. Both of my parents are from Waco. They both grew up there. I'm always going down there back to work out whenever I can. It would be a good fit for me to go back to Baylor."CB Starrland Baldwin (Cypress Falls) will be in Waco on Saturday, April 1st. Baldwin holds offers from Arizona, Iowa State, Kansas, Oklahoma, and TCU, along with a handful of non-P5 programs. Of his upcoming visit to Baylor, Baldwin had this to say: "I'm looking forward to meeting the staff, building a good relationship with them, and keeping in touch with them. Making good impressions.""I've been to Baylor before with my brother and I loved it, so hopefully the second time is better."On his recruitment as it currently stands: "My recruiting process is open. I've been in contact with West Virginia and Utah, and look to visit U of H and Baylor soon."WR Miles Battle (Cy Creek) is a hot commodity. The 6-foot-4 prospect holds offers from several of the country's biggest programs, but he says that five schools are sticking out the most for him currently."Baylor, TCU, LSU, Oklahoma State, and Oregon. Those are sticking out to me for the most part right now. I'm also looking at Wisconsin and Auburn."On what he's looking at in all programs recruiting him:"The way they are running their offense and the education at those schools. And just the coaching staffs."Battle told SicEm365 that he anticipates that he will "probably break it down, maybe this summer" after he has a chance to do more research. Adding a little list of visitors for my own reference:2020 CB RJ Mickens (Southlake)2018 DE Marje Smith (Marshall)2018 OL commit Jackson Kimble 2017 OL signee Ryan Miller 2017 OL signee Henry Klinge Brian and I will be in Cedar Hill on Sunday at the Under Armour event, so hopefully we'll have more good interviews to share with some of the more elusive prospects next week. Here's to a double Baylor victory tonight.

Note on Starrland Baldwin Jr.
I spoke with Cy Falls DB Starrland Baldwin yesterday and he passed along that he has been in contact with Baylor as of Sunday evening. "I love Baylor," Baldwin said. "I spoke with Coach (Joey McGuire) Sunday night.""We just touched base and he told me he'd have junior day info for me soon."The brother of former Baylor prospect and current Missouri linebacker Trey Baldwin, Starrland traveled to Waco with him previously and said his interest in the Bears began then."Been in love since I tagged along with my brother two years ago to his junior day. The atmosphere and facilities really stood out. Can't forget to mention the uniforms."Starrland has picked up offers from Oklahoma and TCU since Sunday. The Horned Frogs offered on Tuesday morning.

Recruiting Notes (2/7)
I briefly spoke with Bralen Taylor last night after his offer and he was excited. On Saturday he had no offers and now he sits at three. Taylor is a legit 6'8 220 and has a large frame and long arms. He was a great kid to talk with and said he saw the new Baylor coaches come through while recruiting the DT that signed with Texas State. He didn't speak with them then, but he plans to start that communication now.He will be at Baylor Junior Day on 2/18.Ta'Zhawn Henry likes Baylor and will also be at the Junior Day. The 5-6 back was extremely impressive in his quickness Saturday. The field was slick and he fell on one drill and jumped back up and did it again. I didn't get a sense that he was in a hurry.I talked with Starrland Baldwin on Sunday and Monday about his performance. The 5-10 160 cornerback said he slipped on his forty and wanted to run it again, but wasn't able to do so. He felt he competed well in drills and he also didn't let anyone run past him.Austin Stogner is going to blow up and likely be the best TE in the state and possibly nation for 2019. The Baylor legacy wants to see how the new staff will use him as he doesn't seem interested in the old offense and would likely head elsewhere if the former staff were here. Expect to see him at the Junior Day 2/18.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a SicEm365 rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the SicEm365 Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide SicEm365 readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Baylor and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Baylor and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
