In the first release of the College Football Playoff Top 25 of the 2021 football season, the Baylor Bears (7-1) were ranked No. 12 by the committee.

Baylor currently holds a non-conference win over No. 15 BYU in addition to Big 12 victories over Iowa State, West Virginia and Texas. Baylor’s lone loss of the season came on the road to No. 11 Oklahoma State.

Fresh off a home win over the Texas Longhorns, the Bears are preparing for a road battle with in-state rival TCU in Fort Worth on Saturday. The game is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT and will be aired on FOX.

Surprisingly decent job by the committee. Huge that Baylor is ahead of A&M.

Good spot. Just win. Start by curb stomping TCU.

Look what the A-holes did to Cincinnati. Moved Oregon into fourth???
OREGON?? Who lost to a bad Stanford team.
These polls are the usual blue blood joke.

Bama at #2 is a joke as well. I knew they were going to screw Cincy, but I thought they would at least initially respect them enough to rank them at #5. They did do us a solid, however.
