Baylor ranked No. 11 in latest College Football Playoff Top 25

In the latest verion of the College Football Playoff Top 25, the committee slotted the Baylor Bears (8-2) at No. 11 after its 27-14 victory over now No. 13 Oklahoma (9-1) at McLane Stadium on Saturday afternoon. 

The Bears fell to unranked TCU the week prior, but the value of strong wins and head to head victories by the committee limited the drop from No. 12 to No. 13. The generous ranking set up a top 15 showdown with the Sooners over the weekend and the Bears rebounded in a big way with its 27-14 win. 

In addition to its win over a ranked Oklahoma team, Baylor also holds a win over No. 14 BYU (8-2) and bowl eligible Iowa State (6-4) to highlight its resume. 

Baylor’s first loss of the season game on the road at now No. 9 Oklahoma State in Stillwater on the first weekend of October. Baylor rebounded with an impressive 45-20 victory over West Virginia, a 38-14 routing of BYU and a comfortable 31-24 victory over Texas.  

Baylor will hit the road to face a red hot Kansas State (7-3) team that has won four consecutive games after dropping three in a row prior.
