No. 1 Baylor (11-0) routs Alcorn State (2-10) Before Christmas 94-57

No. 1 Baylor (11-0) remains undefeated with a 94-57 tune-up win against Alcorn State (2-10) in Waco. 

This game was like getting underwear in your stocking. You know it’s going to happen. Are you that excited about it? No. But there’s always underwear in your stocking. And the consistency that still makes you feel a little good inside when you open it. 

So, yeah, well, that’s about it. I could delve into wild stats and numbers and tell you about all the cool dunks, but this game just went exactly like it was supposed to. There isn't too much more to say past that. 

Ah, who am I kidding? Stats are still fun. Flo Thamba went 8-8 for 16 points to go with Jonathan Tchamwa-Tchatchoua’s 6-6 and 16 and Kendall Brown’s 5-7 and 16. Everyone who wanted 16 points could’ve had them — that probably includes you. 

Baylor shot almost 60% from the floor and connected on 15-20 free throws. The Bears also won the rebounding battle 38-27 while leading assists 29-11 and turnovers 17-11. If you like prototypical buy games, you’re on cloud nine. 

Good on Baylor for not pulling a Florida and losing to a SWAC team by double-digits at home. This was a good bout to iron anything out that needed ironing out. And the Bears got it done.
